EcoVue® Sterile and Non-Sterile Ultrasound Gels, are non-irritating,
non-sensitizing and water-soluble ultrasound couplants intended to contact
uncompromised skin during medical ultrasound procedures with all commercially
available ultrasound devices. The gels are intended for use in diagnostic and
therapeutic ultrasound procedures where a coupling gel or fluid is required or
desired.
EcoVue® Non-Sterile Ultrasound Gels are intended for non-invasive
procedures on intact, unbroken skin only.
In addition, EcoVue® Sterile Ultrasound Gels may be used during medical
ultrasound procedures on or near mucosal membranes through body orifices.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Consult your health system’s internal policies and
procedures regarding sanitization of multi-use products prior to use and
preparing the EcoVue® Ultrasound Gel product. An isopropyl alcohol-based
sanitizer is recommended by manufacturer.
Remove tamper-evident seal and replace cap (if
applicable).
Open the product and apply the desired amount of
EcoVue® directly to the patient or probe as needed.
Once opened, mark the date on the packaging and
discard after 30 days or according to your health system’s internal policies
(whichever is sooner), even if not empty.
To preserve product performance, store away from
direct sunlight.
Store in a clean, dry place at room temperature
(15°-30°C or 59°-86°F).
If frozen, leave it at room temperature and let it
thaw. Do not microwave.
WARMING OF THE GEL
EcoVue® may be used at room temperature or warmed.
If you choose to warm the gel prior to use, please refer to your health
system’s internal policies and procedures for gel warming temperature
guidelines.
